Metraflex 711 Plus Rubber Expansion Joints
The Metraflex 711 Plus Rubber Expansion Joint, formerly 711FRP, was developed to address challenges in non-metallic piping, such as brittle components and high expansion rates. It features integral gusset plates built into the backing ring to prevent cracks on plastic flanges and a full-face built-in rubber face, making it ideal for plastic piping systems.
The 711 Plus accommodates more movement than a Metrasphere and has a lower spring rate than the 100 HT. Commonly used as a pump or equipment connector, it can also serve as an expansion joint when installed according to EJMA guidelines, with control rods optional but recommended.
