Reuland Nuclear Rated Motors
Reuland Nuclear Rated Motors are built for extreme durability in nuclear environments, especially for crane and hoist applications handling radioactive materials and waste. They feature a proprietary insulation system that withstands up to 3.5×10⁹ rads of radiation, along with rugged construction using cast iron frames, stainless steel shafts, and metal tags (no Teflon or silicone rubber).
Available in multiple designs, including single-speed, multi-speed, wound rotor, inverter/vector duty, and high-speed liquid or air-cooled models, they deliver up to 300 HP, speeds from 3600 to 300 rpm, and voltages up to 600 volts (3‑phase, 60 Hz or up to 2000 Hz with inverter). Reuland can adapt any of its motors or brakes to meet nuclear dosage requirements.
