The Stearns AAB 321-8 Series Closed Coupled Brakes deliver dynamic stopping or holding torque in a compact and efficient design. Featuring armature-actuated braking and a fixed air gap design, this series ensures reliable performance in demanding applications.
Available with optional AC rectifiers (internal or external, depending on size), these brakes operate with a Class 130(B) temperature rise and Class 180(H) magnet wire for enhanced durability. The optional “double D” friction discs eliminate the need for a brake hub, reducing costs and simplifying assembly.
Recognized for safety with UR and CUR insulation system certifications, the Series 321 offers a quick-set rectifier option for applications requiring faster reaction times.
